Q: How do I create a new tree or note?
A: Tap the "+" button to create a new root tree. To add child nodes, tap on any existing node and select "Add Child" to create a branch in your tree structure.
Q: How does the tree structure work?
A: TreeKit organizes your notes in a hierarchical tree structure. Each node can have multiple children, allowing you to create nested, organized notes. Think of it like a folder structure, but more visual and flexible.
Q: Is my data synced across devices?
A: Yes! TreeKit supports cloud synchronization. Your notes are stored locally on your device and can be synced to our secure servers to access across all your devices. You can enable/disable sync in Settings.
Q: Can I export my notes?
A: Yes! You can export your tree structures and notes from the Settings menu. Look for the "Export Data" option to save your notes in various formats.
Q: How do I organize and reorganize my trees?
A: You can drag and drop nodes to reorganize them, move nodes between different parents, or change the order of siblings. Long press on a node to access move and reorganization options.
Q: How do I delete a node or tree?
A: Long press on the node or tree you want to delete, then select "Delete" from the menu. Note: Deleting a parent node will also delete all its children. You'll see a confirmation dialog before deletion.
Q: Can I search through my notes?
A: Yes! Use the search icon to find specific content across all your trees and nodes. TreeKit searches through both titles and content.
Q: Why am I seeing ads?
A: TreeKit is free to use and supported by ads. Advertisements help us maintain and improve the app while keeping it free for everyone. You can manage ad preferences in your device settings.
Q: What happens if I lose internet connection?
A: TreeKit works perfectly offline! All your data is stored locally on your device. When you regain connection, any changes will automatically sync to the cloud (if sync is enabled).
Q: How do I backup my data?
A: Enable cloud sync to automatically backup your data to our servers. You can also manually export your data from Settings > Export Data for additional backup security.
Q: My data is missing after an update. What should I do?
A: First, try restarting the app. If sync is enabled, pull down to refresh and force a sync. If your data is still missing, please contact us immediately at the email above with your device details and iOS version.
Q: Can I share my trees with others?
A: Yes! TreeKit supports sharing individual trees or nodes. Look for the share icon to export or share your content with others via various methods.

💾 Data Management
How to enable/disable cloud sync?
Go to Settings > Sync Settings and toggle Cloud Sync on or off. When disabled, all data remains local to your device only.
How to delete all data?
Go to Settings > Data Management > Delete All Data. This will remove all trees and notes from your device. If sync is enabled, you can also choose to delete cloud data.
